Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a great week. I have some exciting news to share with you: I got selected for the Snapchat Creators program! It’s been a long road since I applied to this program last summer, and I’m thrilled to finally start this collaboration 🎉.
This means a very important thing: I got borrowed a prototype of Snapchat’s AR Glasses, called Spectacles 🤩. They’re not on sale yet, so I’ll have the opportunity to try them out and create some cool AR projects. The Spectacles are fully integrated into the Lens Studio, which gives the authors a lot of freedom to interact with the glasses in real-time. They have already been dubbed The Future of Storytelling by some of the creators participating in the program, like the XR Artist Heather Dunaway Smith or the UK-based Pitch Studios. Quite an exciting group!
And, what can be done with the Spectacles? The 3D waveguide screens allow you to superimpose the AR lenses on the environment around you creating an effect of full immersion, and the adjustable screen makes the Spectacles perfect for work both indoors and outdoors while creating the designs.
I got some education materials as well, so now I’m planning to focus on the prototypes of some immersive AR designs and productivity tools, such as calendars.
Would you like to try Snapchat’s AR Spectacles once they become available? Let me know 🙃.
Thank you for reading and have a great weekend,
Eva.

Hello Eva! That’s great! It would be interesting to learn more about Spectacles from you. Is it possible to share these education materials you got from Snap?
Cool, i hope the calendar is not too distracting. Your very own Navel suggests to have less on your calendar overall. That was my takeaway at least
